модель [организации] вычислений (computational model), например в распределённой, многомашинной или многоядерной системе; предусматривает централизованное управление распределённым исполнением приложений в подчинённых (ведомых) устройствах, машинах, ядрах, - главный компьютер или ядро планирует различные потоки исполнения, которые можно направить на любое подчинённое ядро со свободными ресурсами, и обеспечивает предоставление этому ядру необходимых данных. Приложения, соответствующие требованиям подобной модели, должны иметь много небольших независимых потоков, каждый из которых может быть легко обработан одним ядром. Основная проблема приложений, использующих такую модель, - балансирование нагрузки в реальном времени для достижения оптимального параллелизма
